The Sea Rose (Peyssonnelia squamaria) is a distinctive red alga known for its fan-shaped, crustose thallus that grows horizontally across hard substrates. Often found in shaded marine environments, it plays a role in the development of coralligenous bioconcretions in the Mediterranean and parts of the eastern Atlantic.
